I've read some about GPU acceleration and I'm wondering if this is something to dream about in the near future.
I'm thinking of GPU acceleration for VSTs, audio and program acceleration stuff.
If you have a hi end gaming graphic cards that don't come in handy when working with audio programs, this would actually be a big leap forward.
If it could mimic some of the DSP's cards out there (like UAD) that seems to lag behind in development and narrow support for it's price.
Think of a powerful GPU that would support, say "VST4" for ex. taking work load from CPU. Isn't that a producers wet dream?
