midi issues - notes doubling (solved)

The midi devices i'm currently using are a Novation Launchpad, Korg Nanopad and Nanokontrol.

This is a normal project (not in performance mode, but the novation ports are still setup that way) The Nanopad's input/output is set to port 4, my drum vsti's input is set to port 4 and output set to none, and the nanopad controls the drum vsti. If the Omni preview MIDI channel is set to 1 then the Nanopad also triggers other generators audioclips or samplers currently loaded into the project, even though there is no midi port set on those instruments.. If the Omni preview MIDI channel is set to none or any number other than 1, then playing 1 note on the nanopad resutls in 2 simultaneous notes on the drum vsti.

What am I doing wrong?
