Any possible way to convert drum audio tracks into midi?

I googled this first and anything that seemed like it would work was within protools or sonar, I know that you can replace the samples easily with plugins, but I am only looking to extract the midi information strictly. I'm looking to export it and then use it to trigger Studio Drummer, that way I can go back and edit certain parts all together rather than having to have different instances of the same plugin. I am interested in ways to do this without buying new software particularly, but am open to all suggestions. Thanks for your time.
