recommend me a computer to run FL Studio on..

I worked hard all summer and was able to save up a substantial amount of money, some of which I was planning on spending on a computer to run FL Studio off of.

My current computer is a Dell inspiron from 2008 (not even sure what model) and that computer is now out of commission.
The main problems I had with it was the delay in the midi (latency problem?) and the fact that some of Midi players (Axiom 61) worked like 25% of the time.

Anyways, I am looking for a Laptop that can mitigate these problems but am confused on which one I should get.
I was told the Dell Latitude may be a good fit for me??

I don't really have a budget but I also don't need a top of the line machine or anything.

What do you recommend??
