Fit the tempo and grid to audiofile with tempo change

hi,

I have an audio file with tempo changes and I need to make the grid fit to it. The speed varies from 64 - 76.
I could automate the tempo but then while playing it the audio file gets stretched long and short and you can't properly fit drums and stuff to the grid to be synchron.

I also tried to correct the audio file with the Newton plugin, but the result was not usable because the quality dropped on several places down.

What I'm thinking about is to mark the area for a speed and change the grid width there....then marking an other area to set the grid with there to another speed.
That means I adjust the grid to the files current changing speed.

Is that possible? Or is there another workaround?
Currently I don't use the grid on that song and tap drums and other instruments by hand, which is not very funny to do.
