Tips & Tricks on Mixing & Mastering?

I like getting ideas from others so that I can create my own methods on how to do things so can you guys just give me some of your random but good ideas on mixing and mastering in FL Studio? Let me know about some good plugins (preferably free) and some of the things you guys do to get your projects sounding nice, clear and loud.
