Cool Tip for Vocoder Basses

I found that using a reese style bass that has been resampled makes for an interesting vocoder carrier. Specifically using Sytrus to make an FM style reece that has the ability to use the x and y modulation to change the sound pitch wise on the y modulation and FM wise on the x modulation. If you do EQ modulation live and the bass live and vocode it, it make a really interesting sound that works really well for bass music genres. The downside of doing this is that it takes a big load on the CPU especially if you do all of it live. You can record it with Edison and resample it in harmor before modulation or after it if you want to get a cool effect but don't want it live. Hope this gives some cool bass ideas!
