Advanced Patcher - Live orchestration & layering
In this video I'm demonstrating how to create a bit more complex patcher setup to control string ensemble + piano. Tutorial should be useful for any VST combination. I'm using Complete Orchestral Collection by Peter Siedlaczek, which was only ~$89 while ago at vstbuzz.com, and sells currently for $132 at Best Services.
This tutorial is made with 12.1 beta and uses new Keysplitter -plugin, which is hopefully released in 12.1 final. As I state within video, this plugin still had bug with velocity curves not responding. What I learned while creating this patch was that Patcher *really* needs "turn on", "turn off" and "bypass" options for every VST. Currently this isn't possible, and the only way to create linked automation is by modifying main velocity and/or volume... hopefully some day we can use dashboard controls to send on/off/bypass events for individual paths and plugins.
All feedback is welcome!
