Stereo Analysis/Imaging VST

Hello everyone

Apologies if this is a "kin noobs!" kinda question but I'm seeking some advice regarding a good (and preferably free) VST that will allow me to analyse a channel/track's stereo?

I guess the reason behind my question is that I'm not too sure that my hearing is reliable, which could have an effect on my productions i.e. I think my left ear doesn't hear quite as well as my right (all age-related and too many years of too loud music).

What I'd like ideally is something along the lines of the Fruity Parametric EQ2 (i.e. the way it looks) but rather than analysing frequencies I'd like to analyse where in the stereo field (soundstage?) a particular aspect/instrument/sound sits. So, for example, if I solo a kick, and call up the stereo analysis, there it is, bang in the middle of the spectrum, throbbing away and if I unmute a simple white noise sweep (L>R) there it goes, sweeping from left to right... I can SEE it. Also, with my hearing not being 100%, I want to ensure that I'm not overcompensating when producing and panning unnecessarily so that it sounds 'middled' to my ears/brain (this could obviously affect others' interpretations adversely).

I've just spent the last hour on Google searching and I'm pretty sure that such things are available but most search results seem to link to, what look like, dodgy warez sites.

Any help/advice/links would me much appreciated.

Thanks.
