In Sytrus of FL12.3 why is the CUT - MOD X/Y envelope having -100 to 0 range?

Hi Image-Line,

For Filter 1,2 and 3 why is the CUT - MOD X/X envelope having a -100 to 0 range? Can I set the CUT knob to negative values?

Where in the documentation can I read about the relation of the CUT knobs setting and the CUT - MOD X/Y envelope relation?

Am I supposed to use only the positive part of the envelope? Is there a negative effect to be found here? Confused.
