I'm a bit confused:
1. Start with Default Sytrus patch
2. Set Operator 1 Frequency Offset and Frequency Ratio both to 0.0000
3. Turn up Operator 1 to Output knob in routing matrix. Nothing is heard, as expected, since 0 Hz is just d.c.
4. Now turn up Operator 2 to 1 Frequency Modulation in the matrix, suddenly Operator 1 can be heard!!
I'm assuming the carrier frequency is multiplied by the modulator amplitude to calculate the resulting waveform. If that's correct, I don't get it, if the frequency of Operator 1 (the carrier) is set to zero, then multipliying 0 by anything is still 0, so why does it still make sound?
