How would u make Jump up style wub-wub bass?

I've tried and failed many attempts to get a jump-up style bass using Sytrus, 3x Osc, and VSTs like Massive, etc. Maybe i'm just clueless

here's a good example of what i'm lookin for @ 0:45

that low subby wub-wub-wub. It sounds like I obviously need to mess with the cut off of the LFO, but also it sounds like there's a volume envelope of some sort so you dont hear any pluck at the beginning of each note. Any ideas / help is awesome!
