Evening,
On the off chance that others may find this useful I'll upload this. I quite recently got an (ahem) 'you rock' midi guitar so have been sampling my guitars so I can use the YRG to quickly lay down parts with a rough idea of how they'll sound if I replace them later. I made this patch of my battered old Encore steel string using the tx16wx free sampler then exported the patch using direct wave vst sampling. Every note is sampled (bar a couple of wonky ones I discarded and mapped adjacent samples to) individually left and right, but theres's only one velocity layer. Still doesn't sound too bad to me, and possibly useful for layering etc. It also makes quite a nice fake 12 string if you use 2 instances with one an octave up. It would need some low eq though to use it exposed in a mix. I might sort that out at some point...
