using DirectWave w/ pitched loops at various tempos

My friend and I both use FL Studio - I convinced him to buy XXL since we play together, and we use his machine for live performances...
Since I mostly deal in MIDI kbd/drums I use Fruity Edition...

However, having used FL pretty much since it was released, I'm the guru =)
so I am asking this question w/ regards to my friends copy, (XXL)
I'm creating some DirectWave patches w/ his sample CD's
and most times, things like a bass loop are recorded at a certain Key and Tempo

I need directwave to be able to do timestretching AND pitchshifting simultaneously...

In effect - each zone must exhibit the following properties:
The loop must be fitted to the host tempo...
For a particular key, the zone must play at the SAME PITCH, regardless of tempo, but ALSO still fit to the host tempo...

I've tried using various combinations of Sync (SY), and the Zone's Time/Granulizer functions and I just can't seem to get it to do this...

Is it possible?

If so how?

while preparing his DWPs, I've fallen in love w/ DW myself, so if you can tell me how to do the above,
I will end up buying my own copy of DirectWave too =)
