Need a little Help getting free sounds into the DW Player

I am keen to get a group of free sounds to test the Direct Wave Player. I have a few questions.

Am I right in assuming you have to do this by using the Download manmager and load the free banks one might be interested in. I have done this fine for a three free banks so far.

I have download all the available free sounds and I see it comes to around 1 G on its own. The presets are fantastic and cover a wide variety of basses. Very happy.

Are the Generic Sounds CD meant for the Direct Wave Player or are they good for loading into the Sampler and playing for example there. There seems to be a DWP file associated with the Generic sounds. What does that do? I get a message that there are no samples loaded into a patch etc..

Does one need the full version of Direct Player to be able to load the Generic sounds into.
