Can different FPC drumkits be used in the same project?

Here is another issue that has intrigued me about FPC: the ability to use drum sounds from different kits in the same project. Is it possible?

For instance, if someone wanted to use the tambourine, high hat and ride bell from one drumkit and use the bass drum and snare from another, how could it be accomplished?

I am still rather new to FPC and would like to satisfy my curiosity on this issue.
