About the VJ-setup it can already easily be done with this kind of configuration:

Audio Source          ---- Laptop1 --
(DJ / Live set)      /                \
------------------->                   ----> Video switcher --> Projector
                     \                /
                       --- Laptop2 --/

Both laptops are running FL-Studio with ZGameEditor Visualizer Plugin on the same audio input.
The video output from each laptop is connected to a video switch, either a simple one or more advanced with cross-fade.
The VJ prepares the next effect setup on one laptop and switches the video output to it when it's ready, then repeat the process on the other laptop.

Sure it is a little bit more work and requires another computer and FL-Studio license, but definitely realistic imo.

A more advanced auto-mode like you suggest is a good idea and something that can be considered for for later versions.
