Shop by categories and embedding a flip book

Hi, I have built my website with version 3 and I have my shop by categories. Will this be a problem when I update to version. I would also like to embed a flip book into one of my pages, I have had a couple of tries, following the 'howto ' instructions for flash. Is there a way to do this and do you know of flip software that as been used with ezgenerator.
