Transport buttons work for Nanokontrol2, knobs/sliders don't

Just bought FL 11, updated to 11.0.1, and followed the directions on this sticky to a T:

Using Windows 8. When I move the knobs and sliders I get a green indicator that it's receiving MIDI, but I've accessed plugins, mixer channels, and playlist icons and nothing moves. Could use some help please, thanks.
