Sustain pedal issues when recording MIDI (Solved)

Hi everyone,

I'm new to FL Studio, I purchased my copy a couple of months ago.

I have an old Alesis Quadrasynth (with the "plus piano" add-in), and have been working on recording MIDI with FL Studio. The problem I'm having is that pressing the sustain pedal seems to just extend the length of the recorded notes.

An example would be, if I hold the sustain pedal down and play an 8th note arpeggio, it sounds fine. But when I look at the piano roll, while the note on bars start at the right place, all of the notes stay on until I lift the sustain pedal a couple of bars later. So all of the notes look like they end at the same time.

I swear my copy of Cakewalk that I used back in '94 recorded the sustain pedal properly, and I'm really surprised that software 20 years later has an issue with this. Is there a way of changing this so it works properly?

Chris
