Midi Trouble - Question - Dunno WHAT!

First, I note Fruity VSTi has a totally independent midi config? (Doesn't match my primary app - its host)
Second, it has this output port on port 10 that can't be disabled?
Third, when I tried to remove the not needed (for current purposes) input port (clicking off the enable), the VST blew up, taking the host with it!?
Fourth, if I send these reports to MS, do they pass the info to ImageLine?
