Launchpad S - customizing the pages

I'm experimenting with using FL Studio in a live band setting on a Windows Surface Pro and have a Launchpad S for controlling it.

I want to customize the page setups in C:\Program Files (x86)\Image-Line\FL Studio 12\System\Hardware specific\Novation Launchpad but it is not behaving as expected.

In particular, I want the tempo control page (Page10.scr) to be adjacent to the main page with the 8x8 clips.

Can you shed some light on how FL Studio sets up the order of the pages? It doesn't appear to be alphabetical.

Also, strange things appear to happen if I start removing unwanted pages.

For example, I removed all pages except page10.scr and restarted FL studio.
I then had the 8x8 clips page and 1 other page - but it wasn't page10.scr !!!

but I couldn't get it to appear in the list - I still have only the 8x8 clip page and the page 'that should be page10.scr' bit isn't.

Note: the bogus page10.scr that comes up does not look like any of those here: http://us.novationmusic.com/answerbase/ ... -fl-studio
