Which launchpad /Pad-Controller for Performance Mode?

Hi guys,

i recently bought the Behringer LC1. I did not really came across how it works.
Seemed that every button acted weird. I did not have the time to debug and reorganize. I sent it back.

Which "launchpad"-style controller is just plug and play and ready to run? Is there an actual list of supported models?

What about the MK2 launchpads? or the APC Mini?

I want to trigger/stop patterns and also fade them in and out. APC Mini looks as if its what i need.
Are the Novation MK2 series ready to run? Anyone have tested the TC64 from Behringer?
