Hello, recently Akai pushed a software update for the mpc touch which allows the device to be treated like a midi device. What I've been trying to do is use the mpc software and hardware within Fl studio as an instrument. I am able to trigger sounds from the mpc however the midi notes do not register in FL studio unless I switch to Midi control mode. However within this mode the mpc pad program is scrambled throughout the different banks. I have posted on the akai forums and they confirm that what I'm trying to do is impossible. Since the midi control mode makes the device unaware of the selected pad program. I'd like to get another opinion as to how I could use the device in a smarter way.
Am I crazy for thinking this was possible?
