M-Audio code-61 controls DAW, no MIDI

HI,
just bought M-Audio code-61 keyboard.
I followed the instructions in http://noterepeat.com/products/m-audio/ ... -fl-studio
The result is that the keyboard controls FL Studio -- keys result in some DAW events sent, e.g. change of song position, change in group selectrion in note editor, pitch bend slides a fader in the mixer. But I have no idea how to switch to MIDI mode, so that the keys and other controlling items emit MIDI messages.
Code-61 manual has no info on it. I tried switching BUTTON MODE, FADER MODE etc. (using buttons on the keyboard) to MIDI but to no help. THe keyboard is in "all-rainbow" mode, displaying PRE 01. Please help me!
