Step sequence vs fpc

Hi!
Im wondering if i should invest in this touchpad cos i feel Like the drums Would Come out more nautral for me.
Problem is i dont Like the fpc at all, and i want every drum in Its own pattern.
Ive tried to be look around the internet and tried som ways to set up the IL Remote but i cant Seem to do itin anyway but the fpc.
If i just make a "pad" it plays any Channel that i am active with so i dont have the chance for it to Like record the kick and Clap separately in their step sequencer.
I dont see the good thing in the fpc and how i Like to do my stuff, so does anyone have any idea if Its even possible what im trying to figure out??
