Unable to record Patterns in Piano Roll with my Yamaha PSR i425 MIDI Keyboard

I am unable to record MIDI input from my Yamaha PSR i425 keyboard. I have used Generic Controller as my controller type. Since I use windows 10 pc, I have the ASIOForAll v2 device. Under the MIDI settings, my Yamaha keyboard is recognized and I am not sure what to setup as my MIDI output. I am currently using my Yamaha Keyboard itself as MIDI output.

When I open the Piano Roll to record using my Keyboard, the keystrokes are detected and I am able to hear sound in the keyboard speakers but the note is not getting recorded in the Pattern.

Can anyone guide me on how to correctly configure the external keyboard? How to get FL Studio 12 to record notes from my keyboard?
A detailed step by step guide would be appreciated.
