How could one get sax sounds ( or even just plain any instrument note sounds ) out of FlStudio8 on a pc using a M-audio Uno usb midi card, XP PC laptop and Yamaha WX11 ewi?
I do get different raspy sounds when I connect the ewi to the laptop running FlStudio and press the ewi keys; also tried Vstsax after loading the .dll file in the vst folder but did not get sax sounds, just the electronic noise sounds as the key were pressed and all the listings in the vst produced the same weird sounds.
What am I missing ? Suggestions? (BTW, I'll be the first to admit I 'm new to FlStudio and reading the manual hasn't solved this problem.)
The good news it that the ewi works fine with a Roland JV1010 sound generator. Using the ewi with just the laptop would make practicing on the road easier (i.e. lighter ) which is the reason for the interest in the software synthesizer.
