Samples sound weird when played with my SL MKII.

I remember reading someone else's post on this but for the life of me cant find it!

When I play the default kick, hat, clap, etc smp's using my SL MKII,... they sound like crap. But if I play those same smp's through FLS they sound fine. What am I missing here?
