Just bought a Icon Neuron 3 MIDI controller and
• connected it via USB cable,
• it was recognized by Windows and driver was automatically installed (class-complaint).
• So I started FL Studio and enabled it in the MIDI Input settings ("ICON Neuron 3 Ver 1.02").
All my other controllers (Novation and M-Audio) did work after this. But not the Neuron:
• Playing notes doesn't work at all – even though I see the yellow MIDI input activity button
light up when I press a note, and the expected description (e.g., "Note off: A7 / velocity: 123")
makes sense, I don't hear anything (controller input not transferred to VSTs or FL plugins).
• Linking knob movements ("Multilink to controller") to VSTs, however, worked out of the box.
The DEBUG window shows something like this:
(generic controller): 8F 58 44 Note Off: E7
Handled (first chance) Absolute 0%
• MIDI monitor showed "channel 16"; but even after I changed MIDI input channel
to 16 in VSTs (e.g., Albino 3), playing a note doesn't lead to a sound
What did I wrong? Any help is highly appreciated, thanks!
Icon Neuron 3: Enabled, knobs working, but no keys?
