So my interface (Alesis i02) has a MIDI in and OUT. Right now, I have my keyboard controller going into the MIDI in. I'm thinking of getting an Alesis SR18 drum machine/pad, but want to first make sure that I can run the two through the same input. I guess I'm thinking of running the keyboard into the SR18, and then back out into the interface (or vice versa with the drum going into the keyboard).
Both devices have MIDI in and OUT as does the interface. I know the SR 18 can also connect via USB, but I'm assuming I'll get better production running it through the interface.
