Play DX10 notes with MIDI Buddy foot pedal

Howdy All:

I have my "midi buddy" foot controller successfully interacting with FLStudio, and wondered if it is possible to assign a foot pedal to a particular "note" on the DX10? Or even just play a wave file would be good.

My goal is to be able to play guitar, and step on a pedal to play a "moog" sound during certain passages (a la Yngwie Malmsteen).
