Hello,
I have been attempting to record my trumpet into FL Studio 10 Producer Edition. I am using a Yamaha MC4 microphone which is attached to the bell of the trumpet, which plugs in to an ART Tube MP Studio pre-Amp. The pre-Amp plugs into my M-Audio Mobile Pre interface.
First of all, I have no problems recording into FL Studio software, the problem I am encountering is that the recording is very quiet. I can play as loud as I like on the trumpet, but when I play it back it sounds rather quiet. The big peak meter during recording shows around -10 to -12. I have 48V phantom power on (pre-Amp) and the input and output are at max.
Could someone please tell me whether this is a a hardware or software issue? And what can I do to resolve this problem?
