CAN'T OPEN UP AKAI MPC ELEMENT WITHIN FL STUDIO 11

Hi there,

I hope this particular issues has not been covered already, I recently brought a Akai MPC Element controller, I have a macbook pro and have installed fl studio 11 onto the mac plus i installed the standalone software from the akai website too entitled "mpc essentials". I basically want to open up the mpc essentials software within fl studio so I can use it as a VST option but I am having difficulty in making that happen. I have followed the guidelines on the Akai site showing the following links for fl studio:

http://www.akaipro.com/kb/article/1529# ... ch_support

http://www.akaipro.com/kb/article/1498

In the second link my AKAI MPC does not even come up as a new VST added when placed into the correct folder and I'm not sure as to why. I'm sure you guys know what i'm doing wrong.
