I would love to be able to process my effects on many different tracks.
If I could do this I would be able to filter one instance of an effect, and create another one, and separate the 2 instances to 2 bands, and process the bands in different ways, so say my reverb is creating too much rumble. I split the reverb signal into 2 tracks, and then filter and gate it.
I could probably as a workaround create "pseudo-send" by routing to an insert and outputting only the wet part of the sound, but people... like myself
... don't think of these things until after they've started the project, and are too lazy to go back and do it again. lol...So why not make the send tracks just as flexible as the insert tracks?
