why i must waste my time with the il-downloader?

The downloader will be rewritten to work a lot better, as soon as I can start on it.

Can you rewrite it to JUST REMOVE IT COMPLETELY?

Sorry for being sarcastic, but all the downloader bugs through the years have taken away plenty hours of my life, which I will never get back
