FPC freeze/crash in 10.0.9 XXL

I used to be able to scroll premade patterns just to test a kit out, but now it seems to simply freeze the program if I try do so.

I'm on win 7 64 bit, and I have TASCAM US-122mkII plugged in for recording sound, however just using ASIO4ALL for playback etc .
