Edison EQ is not affecting the entire selected time region

Open an Edison. Load an wave audio file into it (not sure if it must be wave, but this is). Select a region (make sure it's at least a second wide...) and open the Edison EQ. Select a band of frequency you wish to EQ down. Make sure it has some width. Now EQ it, and go back and look at your audio file. Edison EQ'd only the outer edges of the selected region. The inside of that is still not EQ'd. It doesnt seem to do this if I turn the mix nob down some.
