Multi Link to Controller and CME UF8 Issues

Ok, so i just got a CME UF8 master keyboard and the keyboard works, the sequencer controls (start, stop, etc) work, and the mod wheel just started working out of no where. The USB drivers for this unit do not work for me since I am running Windows 7 and CME only has driver support for up to Windows XP. So i am connected thru my Saffire Pro 40 Interface. Oddly one of the faders on the keyboard does work, but the rest do not. More importantly, I was trying to assign fader functions to Mixer tracks using the multi link to controller button. My first attempt didnt go so well but there were signs that midi signals were being sent. But when i attempted to try again the multi link to controller button wont stay lit up. The indicator light turns to on and then back of immediately when i click on it. Regardless of whether i can be helped as far as the CME UF8 is concerned. Does anyone know why this is happening with the multi link to controller button?
