Trouble rendering project (FL 12)

I'm having trouble rendering my projects. I have a finished track saved as a .flp, but when i try to render it to .mp3 my FL freaks out and says "Not Responding" in the tab.
I'm running FL 12 on a brand new high-end laptop, and it's the only thing i've put on the computer (although i did transfer my sylenth1, massive, and my sample library to this new laptop, but they all work just fine). FL 12 runs just fine and i have no problems at all when im actually working on the track. But when i save as .mp3, it freaks out and crashes.

It's not overloading the cpu, and it's not because the file is too big. I tried rendering an 8 bar drum loop and it did the same thing.

Is it a bug? How can i fix it? Can i even fix it?

I save my mp3's at 320kbps if that's of any use.
