I don't realy know why or when it happen.. but when it happened one time to the project.. it happens every time I put note/step into the step sqequencer...
while the song plays
It's all the time fine... working like normal... putting making a new pattern want to put a note into the step sequencer.. and freeze/crash...
It happened one time with an already more advanced project... luckily I saved shortly before... so in that project I just avoid using the step sequencer...
or I hit the stop button and then adding notes into the step sequencer which also works...
but it just happened again.. in a quite fresh project.. and this time I didn't save before... song was playing... I added a note.. and as soon I click on the step.. FL freezes
if I would have saved before I could upload it... but since the last save point is quite some time ago.. it doesn't occour now...
I could upload the other project ofcourse... but I don't know if that would make any sense.. because of far it already is... with lots of plugins and samples and so on.. don't know if the bug will still follow to another pc then..
I think something is buggy in terms of making changes while the song plays... because there are more things that freeze/crash FL... when changed while playing... for example.. I changed the density from high to extreme of the B2 Reverb from 2cAudio while playing.. what it usually not a problem.. and it did the same thing like the step sequencer...
but also not all the time.. only when something happened... but after that point it does it all the time...
I don't know what causes this issue.. then I could avoid it.. till it's fixed.. or avoid then making changes while playing.. if I can't avoid the reason...
but at the moment it is realy risky for me to use FL12... I won't save the project every time after I just make a knob tweak or so...
so I revert back to FL11 now... which is absolut awesome stable... in all the years it is out now.. it may have crashed maybe 6-10 times or so... that is realy realy good.. especially when knowing how much I work with FL and how intense some projects get...
but it's still a pity because I realy like what you have done with FL12...
except that you can't change for example velocity on multiple channels in one work step... like before... you made for example a highat line with lets say four differend hat samples... (closed.. bit more open.. bit differend attack and so on..) ... and then just mark all four channels.. and change the velocity in the step sequencer... that a very good way to achieve a good grooving hihat line.. since the velocity window and so is gone for the step sequencer.. this is no longer possible... which is now quite painfull to do... yes I could built a layer now and do keysplitting... but that isn't as handy as before..
however.. beside that FL12 is great.... ... if all the bugs wouldn't be there...
I mean I can understand that it is still quite buggy.. because you changed so much... and quite much in the core structure.. (like step sequencer is now pianoroll and vice versa) .. so it's usual that it still has its bugs... it's a bit like half of a new programm... like FL Studio2 version 1
but at the moment.. I can't realy work with it... it's more like an early beta at the moment..
So for me FL11 for quite a while longer how it seems...
I am realy not jeleous of your work now... seeing all this bug reports here...
but don't give up.. you did an awesome job in the past.. you did a good job with the changes in FL12 (except that throwing away of the step sequencer value changes described above
)... and I am sure you continue doing a very good job... with fixing everything... since FL11 is so superstable.. you proved already you can do a super stable programoh and btw.. all those muted notes in the pianoroll of deleted steps from the step sequencer can make it realy confusing... maybe deleting the notes would be better then muting them... because you deleted them in the step sequencer
