Fl Stalling with wav files

Major Problem. When I export my wav files from my vst (nexus, Hypersonic 2 etc.) my Fl stalls. When I file save I have to wait about 5 seconds before the title changes from default to the name I put. Then once I hit play or press the space bar nothing happens for about 5 seconds then it will just start playing close to 20 bars into the project. During the times where I have to wait 5 seconds the cpu meter drops to 0 (Oh my!). But when it starts to play it's show that its only using 27%. And once I close fl and re-open itand open my project its back to the patterns with the vst and my wav files aren't in the project. And by the way im using the fl extended. Thanx in advance to any help
