Facebook Widget

Hi, I used the Facebook widget in EZG4, all it shows is a blue box with Facebook in it. I tried to get the API ID but it says I need a credit card. I then got the code manually but when I insert the Java script:-

It just doesn't work, that is when I preview the page it locks IE and I have to undo everything. According to Facebook instructions the Javascript must be put at the top of the page to the right of the opening "Body" tag but where do I find that? I went into the Template HTML and entered it there but it causes the same problem. So I tried inserting them by right clicking - insert - html/scripts, yet it I have the same problem. However I'm now stuck with the Blue Facebook on my page which fortunately doesn't show on my website, how do I remove it?

Any help would be very welcome.
