Problems with language in php

I have some pages in password protected php files.
The launguage in all my page is norwegian.
When page is in php, it write like this:
Innlogging til beskyttet omr�de
It is the special caracters æ, ø and å that does not work correctly.
When I choose to save the page in html (non php), it shows correctly:
Innlogging til beskyttet område

It this something you can fix or tell me how to fix by my self
