Hidden Divs

Hope somebody may be able to help on this.

Haven't used hidden divs before but found if I include one on a page and then copy and paste it to another page but with different content, the content changes on the original page as well. In other words I want to use a hidden div on most pages but with different content on each page.
How can I do that?
