Uploading a new Website

Perhaps a stupid question for the specialist, but I don't use EZgenerator only from time to time.
My question; I have a good working Website on the internet but wan't to change the old with a brandnew who is ready for uploading., but do I have to remove the old Website first before I upload the new one or is she removed automaticly when I upload the new Website. (Have FTP server)
Simply, what and how do I have to do for changing the Websites ?
