Shipping Options for Shop Pages

Hello and good day;
I am wondering if at some point there can be a "Weight" option for calculating Shipping?

I don't know about on the other side of the pond but...In the USA a weight option would work out very well. Similar to the Shipping Field and the shipping field totals. If we have the weight then a formula could be made so the shipping can be calculated by combined weight.

Just curious.
