Just bought Morphine & Sakura
Because of the yard sale I was finally able to justify buying these two synthesizers. They are both unique and I considered them as luxury items for my music production. In the case of Morphine I really love that it can recreate the sounds of vintage organs so well and the morphing of sounds is also nice for some mixes. I own Komplete 6 and was considering upgrading to Komplete 7 mostly for the new vintage organs that it ships with. The demos on the NI website are very authentic and even the noise of those old organs can be heard. In fact too much noise for my tastes. I think Morphine creates the sounds the designers of those organs were trying to achieve but couldn't because of the mechanics involved and electronic limitations of that time period. Another interesting thing about Morphine I found is that is can produce some very good bass scapes. Even some of the the presets not intended for bass sound really cool when played on the lower keys.
