I'm a noob.
I bought a Behringer B-1 Studio Condenser Microphone on a whim, but I didn't realize that conderser mics need a power supply. doh.
Could someone please recommend a good +48-V phantom power supply for this particular mic. I am totally new to vocals, so I don't know if I need to buy anything else.
Would one of these power supplies come with everything needed to hook the mic up to the computer, or do I need to buy any additional cables and adaptors?
(I have a Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium soundcard)
I'm kind of lost, but I'm really enthusiastic about bringing vocals to my music, and I hope to set this baby up before new years. Any help is much appreciated.
EDIT:
After some additional help and research, my understanding is that the system goes like this:
Mic -> xlr cable -> power supply -> xlr cable -> "1/4 to 1/8 inch" adaptor to plug into computer
Hopefully that's right. Thanks!
