Audio Interfaces - Saffire (Firewire) vs. Scarlett (USB)

A quick question regarding audio interfaces/sound cards.

I'm looking at the Focusrite Saffire (Firewire) vs. Scarlett (USB) series. My main criteria are that it has ASIO drivers that work nicely with FL, and has a MIDI in/out, which both seem to have; beyond that I was just curious regarding whether one was better than the other. My MOBO has both firewire and USB 2.0 and 3.0 connections so either is an option.

Also, if there are any similar recommended audio interfaces/soundcards, I'm all ears.
